Positive:
Great design, Spacious room, Good breakfast selection including hot food. Convenient location. Friendly & Helpful staff. They even made sure we knew they had umbrellas available to deal with the rain. Free wi-fi worked great.

Positive:
The room was large and comfortable. The reception and dining room staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and also spoke excellent English. The breakfast was a buffet and the choice was very good.

Positive:
Staff are polite, efficient and friendly. Breakfast is very good. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. My room was quiet because it faced away from the city square.
Negative:
WiFi is $5 per line per day so a laptop plus smart phone is expensive. There is no coffee /tea maker and since there is no Restuarant or room service this is a major inconvenience for the business traveller who needs to work in the hotel room.

The location is excellent and the staff is very kind. Breakfast buffet was good, also.
Negative:
No good value for your money. The cold interior of this hotel resembles that of a hospital. The rooms and bathroom, although clean and functional, could use a renovation to today’s standards. Also, it was terribly hot in the room at night. All would be fine for half this rate.

Excellent location for our Christmas trip. Lovely room and friendly staff. Good breakfasts. Xmas candle and decoration on each tabel was a nice touch.
Negative:
Only thing was that the only bbc tv chanel was only bbc World News.

The rooms are large, lots of light, modern furniture, very good central location. The breakfast is mediocre, some good stuff, some bad and some not worth mentioning.
Negative:
The really bad thing was the room heating: very cold, very economic, the heating elements, even when turned at max could not improvethe situation (as they are only a bit warm). The room boasts eco-friendly green stickers, which could easily be translated to we save cost in water and heating on the health of our clients. It is strongly recommended to search for another place.

When you are booking at Stern Hotel you have to be carefull to choose the right room. They have new rooms, which are called ‘comfort rooms’ and the others. During my first stay I got ‘the others’ on the second floor. It was very loud because of the windows on the Market Side, and the room was old-furnished with an old carpet. At my second stay I booked the comfort room. The price was higher but also the standard of the room. Stern HoteL: comfort room yes, the others no!

My conference was at the University so I could fall out of bed and be there. Apparently a much better location that the conference official hotel. I loved having access to the fitness center. The front desk staff were so pleasant and helpful. My morning pot of hot water with tea was often delivered before I hung up the phone. The hotel was quiet. I loved my view into the courtyard. I had a delightful stay!
